What Price My Home?

So what is my house worth? Well there are many websites out there that can tell you. The problem is these are just lead generation companies that take your details and pass them onto Agents for a fee. I see a massive decline in revenue for these companies over the years as anyone that would use such a service - would probably never do so again! I think they are all miselading as none of these companies clearly tell the consumer exactly what they do. The sooner they go by the wayside the better as far as I am concerned.

Have to agree with you. I am a real estate agent and we get these companies approaching us all the time asking us to buy suburbs/postcodes from them to gain the leads. They are an unecessary third party in my opinion. All most do is just that, refer your details to the agent who subscribes to that suburb. Is that agent the best agent or most knowledged in your local area?
My advice is to give these operators a miss and simply do your own research on 3 local agents that stand out and get them to appraise your home. It’s free also and far more accurate.

A Licensed valuer is more accurate than 3 agents touting for a vendors business.
In our area, the norm is to overquote, and then condition the seller to take less. If you honestly establish a value using a CMA you’d never list a home.

How many people would bay a licensed valuer 350 bucks though??
Seems these sites thrive on mass market sites like Realestate.com ,targeting the uneducated and free deal seekers.

Smart people who realise that $350 could save them $10,000 in the long term if they get it wrong !

Yep
Most spend more on a night out then understanding the value of their biggest assett.
