The world’s most powerful property people – Top 100

Global Edge released a TOP 100 of the world’s most powerful property people. Surprisingly, I am there, but with Sir Les Flatulence in brackets. He has written 2 articles and I more than 400. How does he worm his way into it?

Anyway, probably every one of these blogs will link to the article making Global Edge more powerful also. Anyway here is the link, some of the sites I read regularly.

Enjoy!

Powerful, Top 100

Yes, its called linkbait. They write one article, and 100 people write an article on them and link back to their website.

Only 2 articles for Sir Les? I thought
Flatulence was much more prolific. Great name anyway.

    Best

A self effacing humble modesty prevents me from pointing out who else might be on that list.

But alas, now that I work for RP Data I will not be blogging for http://www.domain.com.au. It will turn up again though – somewhere.

    Cheers

No offence Robert but I think it works precisely because I am NOT a real estate agent.

Interesting to see that some of the finance “experts” now claiming its at the bottom and its now time to buy shares and it is now property that will tumble in value dramatically.

Biased commentary? Misdirection? or on the money?

    What does everyone think?

Glenn, ‘turn the page’ (click here) to Peter’s blog ‘Portals playing with fees’to see the discussion on the real estate down-turn (It ain’t gonna be prettty – Melb auction clearances have hit the skids and no-one is even showing-up in the World’s auction capital! (Got a spare bedroom?)

Actually – I see this period as both challenging and exciting. For those agencies that have positioned their businesses to face these upcoming challenges it will be an interestering ride for sure. What we are seeing is many vast generalisations which are always dangerous as we (agents) trade in different niche markets where very few are the same. I believe we know our market demographic better than our competitors so we see this current period as an opportunity to further grow our market share as we are seen as a much more interelligent alternative.

The IT savvy agencies will do very well from this economy correction given that they continue to offer a much wider scope for attracting new business opportunities. The pessimistic agents in the current environment are the ones that were outsmarted by technology and the obvious that over time everything changes.
