My Home: A joint venture between Publishing & Broadcasting Limited (PBL), Microsoft and with the support of members of the Australian real estate industry, myhome.com.au is an online property site that offers an engaging, fresh approach to the challenge of finding a place that’s right for you.
Real Estate View: Launched in May 2001, Realestateview is a joint venture between the Real Estate Institute of Victoria Ltd. (REIV) and Victoria’s leading real estate agencies and delivers an extensive range of quality, property-related Internet services. As at May 2007, The REIV holds 69.7 per cent share of Realestateview, with the remaining shares owned by real estate agencies in Victoria and Nationally.

The website does not feature private sellers’ properties.

Craigs List: The service was founded in 1995 by Craig Newmark for the San Francisco Bay Area. After incorporation as a private for-profit company in 1999, Craigslist expanded into nine more U.S. cities in 2000, four each in 2001 and 2002, and 14 in 2003. As of September 2007, Craigslist had established itself in approximately 450 cities in 50 countries.
