Next Place, Australia’s smartest and fastest growing real estate search engine today launched the Annual Next Place Real Estate Scholarship for Applied Technologies (RESAT).

The new scholarship is part of Next Place’s wider initiative to build the real estate industry’s technological capacity.

Next Place Founder, Dan Tarasenko said technology provided plenty of opportunities for real estate professionals to take their online presence into their own hands.

“However, many in the real estate industry have a limited understanding of how they can leverage technology to grow their business,” he said.

Next Place will award four scholarships totaling $10,000 in training and support.

Tertiary Scholarships will be awarded to two current university and TAFE students who are undertaking a real estate or property related Diploma or Certificate IV.

University Scholarships will be awarded to two people who are undertaking or looking to commence a marketing, commerce, real estate or property related undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

The funding will go towards education costs, professional development and mentoring and technical advice.

Scholarship recipients who are licensed real estate agents will also receive complimentary use of online lead generation website, www.nextagent.com.au on their first secure sale or rental.

Scholarship applications close on 3 November 2014, with winners announced 5 November 2014. The RESAT scholarship will be awarded annually.
