Firefox – Web Developers take note

2 minute read

Firefox is here to stay, just about anyone who uses it ditches Internet explorer for general browsing, it is a shame some banks and other sites do not support it. It just goes to show that no matter how big your budget, if you have lazy dummies coding your sites will not work.

The last two weeks I have taken over a number of sites from developers who simply do not care about their clients.

Most agents who come to me do not come to me because they are unhappy with their websites (although I would be) but it is the service they get – lack of it.

But by far the most amazing thing I notice is that the sites are built so poorly and they do not work with Firefox.

With over 60 million people worldwide using this browser it is time to shape up or ship out for developers.

Most sites need about an hours work to fix, but many – especially with JavaScript take much longer and these sites were built by supposedly experienced agents web developers.

So for all of you agents out there that want to test your developers, download Firefox and make sure your site is compatible.

Download it here (you wont regret it!)

I actually don’t rate firefox all that highly, although their Deer Park Alpha 1 does seem to address concerns I have with Firefox.
